Description

Once Upon A Hong Kong

The shopkeeper often says that the world is vast, and there are many beautiful sceneries to be seen. Although Hong Kong is small, it is complete in every way. As long as you're willing to look, Hong Kong is also a very beautiful place. Hong Kong is a dynamic city, yet it coexists with the still beauty of nature. The contrast between movement and stillness makes Hong Kong even more beautiful.

Even within the same community, different people in Hong Kong have different experiences, see different things, and have unique encounters. As "Once Upon A Hong Kong " suggests, there are a thousand Hong Kongs in a thousand people's eyes. A small place yet filled with endless stories that make Hong Kong beautiful.

By closely observing how each place is depicted, we can see that the author is also telling the story of Hong Kong. The city's scenery flows with the activities of its people, but with so many passing by, no one truly occupies this place. In this precious land, Hong Kong people are all searching for a spot, working hard for a living, year after year. Yet some places, though once pillars of Hong Kong’s prosperity, will be eliminated by time, replaced by new things. Despite this, the youth continue to seek hope under the night sky, and Hong Kong, like a phoenix, will find a new position.

Today, Hong Kong stands at a crossroads, with conflicting voices pointing in different directions.
Ultimately, where Hong Kong will go is uncertain, but it will have different futures in the eyes of different people. However, no matter what direction Hong Kong takes, it will always be our home.

Story Content

Every place in Hong Kong may seem the same, but when frozen in time, we can feel that each place is unique. Have you ever seen the lively scenery at Victoria Harbour, Central MTR Station, Hong Kong Park, Star Ferry, Hong Kong eateries, Beihou Street Market, Kwong Shing Watch Shop, Kowloon City Sung Wong Toi Station, Yuen Long Education Road, Ngau Tau Kok Industrial Building, Hong Kong True Light College, Hong Kong Funeral Parlour, Temple Street, Mak Man Kee, Chungking Mansions, Sai Ying Choi South Street, Lantau Island, and Kam Sheung Road? After observing the mundane daily life in these places, return to your own home.
